Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities within the commercial insurance sector.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with prospective clients, understanding their insurance needs and providing tailored solutions.
- Generate leads through networking, referrals, and outbound prospecting activities.
- Conduct market research to identify potential industries and businesses that align with company offerings.
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals to prospective clients.
- Negotiate terms and coverage with insurers to secure competitive pricing and comprehensive policies for clients.
- Work closely with internal teams, including underwriting and claims, to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Maintain an up-to-date pipeline of opportunities using CRM software, tracking progress and conversion rates.
- Meet and exceed new business targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Stay informed on industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitor activities to adapt strategies accordingly.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven track record in commercial insurance sales, with a strong focus on new business development.
- Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in a similar role within the commercial insurance industry.
- CIP qualification (or working towards it) preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of commercial insurance products, policy structures, and risk assessment.
- Strong negotiation, networking, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently and drive business growth with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
- A results-driven mindset with the ability to thrive in a target-oriented environment.
